start from scratch

3D Art Lessons

Want to create your own character, art for your game, or just learn 3D for fun? You start from scratch, with live lessons.

Beginner lessons start with Blender, a free, professional-grade 3D modeling program. You don't need to pay for a license, now or later.

In your very first lesson, you already start modeling your character.

From geometry to character

  1. Primitives Basic shapes (cube, sphere, cylinder): where every model starts.
  2. Blockout The main shapes, no detail.
  3. Modeling The shape gets defined.
  4. Color The model gets color and personality.
  5. Done Your 3D model, made by you.

From 3D model to game

Prerequisite: the basics (or the skill check on the free call)

You already know how to create your 3D models. Now they go into a game.

  • Optimization: making your model light enough to run smoothly in a game.
  • Rig: giving your model a skeleton so it can move.
  • Export: getting it from Blender into the engine without losing anything along the way.
  • Engine: choosing the right one for the type and style of your game.
  • Shaders: how the model looks inside the engine.

Goal: the game you want to make. There's no fixed project: we set the goal together.

Illustrated portrait of Pedro Perin

who teaches

Hi, I'm Pedro.

I've been an artist for over 20 years and I'm passionate about 3D games. I've been through everything that holds learners back, from incomplete tutorials to tools that make no sense, and today I teach the path that took me years to figure out: the tools and the art, so you can create characters, props and your own games.

Frequently asked questions

Didn't find your question? Ask it on the free call.

I've never opened Blender. Can I do this?

Yes. The basics start from scratch, with simple shapes, and the first model (Kuly) was made for people taking their first steps.

Do I need to know how to draw?

No. 3D modeling doesn't require drawing: you build everything from simple shapes.

Do I need a powerful computer?

It doesn't have to be top of the line: if it runs Blender, it works. The official minimum is a 4-core processor, 8 GB of RAM and a graphics card with 2 GB. Depending on where you want to go, you may need a better computer, but we'll figure that out together when you get there. You also need a good internet connection for lessons on Meet.

I'm a programmer and I can't draw. Can I make art for my game?

Yes. 3D modeling doesn't require drawing. You start with the basics and then take your models into the engine in the games lessons.

Do I need to know 3D before learning games?

Yes, the basics are the prerequisite. If you already have some experience, the free call works as a skill check and you can go straight to the games lessons.

Will it fit around school or work?

Yes. Each lesson is 1 hour, and the frequency and schedule are agreed with you.

How do lessons work? Online or in person? How long are they?

Online and live, on Google Meet, with screen sharing. Each lesson is 1 hour.

Can I take lessons if I'm under 18?

Yes, there's no minimum age. For anyone under 18, a parent or guardian joins the free call and handles payment.

How much does it cost?

From US$ 26.24 per lesson with the 8-lesson pack (US$ 209.90). 4-lesson pack: US$ 119.90. Single lesson: US$ 34.90. Pay by card or PayPal.

Why private lessons instead of a recorded course or YouTube?

Because you don't get stuck alone: you get answers on the spot, feedback on your modeling, and lessons focused on your difficulties, not everyone else's.

Who is the teacher? Is his work good?

Check the About section: that's where Pedro's games and work are.
